I'm Frank Kim — cybersecurity executive, advisor, and educator. My goal is to help you shape your strategy, master your message, and champion change to build business driven security programs.
I've worked for years as a CISO and security leader building teams, large and small, to solve some interesting problems. I started my career as a developer building and securing applications. This eventually led to building a security program at Kaiser Permanente and leading the team as CISO at the SANS Institute.
With SANS, I lead the Cloud Security and Cybersecurity Leadership curricula while authoring and teaching classes on strategic planning, leadership, application security, DevSecOps, and cloud security.
Over the years I've been fortunate to have experienced the highs of growing a team, building business cases that led to massive security investments, and working with a lot of talented people.
With ThinkSec, my security consulting and CISO advisory firm, I want to help you develop security programs that drive business value, funding, recruiting, marketing, and executive and board relationships.
